ohhh i forgot about that one time when she bumped tires with that one guy and almost went into the wall..... she did have a lot of close calls for disaster.. but she's a rookie afterall....

Yea, she made a lot of rookie mistakes. If she somehow dodged ONE of those many mistakes, I think she could've placed first.

A commendable performance all around. Aside from some of the rookie mistakes, she still had an unbelievable race. I'm actually thinking about getting back into the IRL because of the race today. Great job everyone!

It was also good to hear her talk about the mistakes after the race. And, as I recall, the interviewer did not prompt her - she brought them up more than once.

She looks pretty good w/ makeup (esp on the Powerblock segement on Spike TV). She looks like crap sometimes when she takes off her helmet after races, but then again, she probably has more things to worry about than putting on makeup and getting her hair did before a race.

What pressures there must be for women in pro sports. If you are a guy all you have to do is win. If you are a girl you have to win and look like a sex symbol doing it. Or, if you are a tennis player, perhaps being a sex symbol is enough (for a short-time at least).

Glad I can just concentrate at being good at my job. If I had to also look good at my job, I wouldn't be able to afford these cars!
