First Official Road Pictures of New M3
I can't say that I am too pleased with the direction that BMW has chosen with this new M car. There is also talk of them producing an estate version of the m3. I think the classic german lines of functionality have given way to more radical 'boy racer' lines. any other thoughts?

I think it's great and would consider buying one.
I'm not a fan of contrasting roof color, I understand its CF, but I wonder if you can get a body color roof or else you'd have to get a black car to mask the two-tone effect.
I hate cars with sunroofs and if possible won't buy a car with one, but many cars force you to buy a sunroof. It appears that the M3 with the CF roof is beautifully sunroof-free.
I have in mind is a lux-GT car to go along with my S2000, so I don't mind that it's 3500 lbs. This car is as powerful but weigh a lot less than the CT-V and the previous gen M5.
One thing that may work against me buying one is if I go with an AWD car instedad so I could drive it in the snow (the S2000 is not great in snow and neither will the M3 a GT-R or Audi S5 will fit the lux-GT as well as winter driving).

That hood bulge just is not growing on me. Dopey as can be.
I like the tailight treatment over my e90's. The interior doesn't move me because I've pretty much got that now. I like my Sport wheels better than those on this particular car.

What's wrong with a Touring version??? That'd EASILY be my pick of the lot. Boy, is that interior somber? Maybe it would look nicer in a color other than gray. Aluminum may also be nicer than carbon fiber (a little bright work may help). I also don't like the mirrors or wheels, but it's hard to argue with an 8400 rpm n.a. V8 making 420hp... I'd take an Alpine white Touring with that burgundy-brownish color interior offered on the 335i with aluminum trim and a panoramic sunroof.

Those wheels look tiny. I wish the rear fenders would bulge more like the e46 M3. The back of the car isn't as menacing as the e46.
ps..did i really just say bonnet? I have to stop watching all these damn European review shows...bonnet...windscreen...boot...oy.
