Welcome to the club (sold my S2000 club).
Any of those cars will be a privilege to drive and own, but coming from the S2000, unless you are trying to go a completely different automotive direction, I'd say the Cayman S will be a good fit and will not disappoint.
After three years of ownership and more than 18,000 miles, I still get excited about driving the Cayman S and it still looks sooo good to me. I'd drive it more if the weather was better in central Ohio.
Compared to the other cars you stated, there is something more seductive and exotic about the Porsche Cayman S design. I am biased, but I still believe it is true.
Drive them and tell us what you think.
Enjoy the search!

It's funny, I actually chose an S coming from a Z06 because I wanted a totally different experience! Sometimes it's not so much about finding more of the same, but really changing it up to break up the monotony. I've got to say, as much as I love Vettes, I'm having a great time with this ride.
Just some food for thought.

Those are kind of in different price ranges. The E92 is about 10K more than a decent C6Z06 and the Cayman is a little less than the Z06.
If I could only have 1 car out of those 3 it would probably be the E92 M3. If the Cayman S was the 2009+ with PDK and LSD I would pick that.

I don't see how you could go wrong with the z06. It's going to end up saving you money, providing the most fun, and will leave the other two cars you mentioned in its dust.
I had a chance to get behind the wheel of the c6 z06 and it was much better than I anticipated. I was expecting it to be much rougher than it actually was. It felt pretty connected and the sound is worth twice the sticker price.

of course right off the back if you drove a z06 and a cayman s the z06 feels good because of the power.
But there is something magical about porsches that you learn as you drive the car more and more.
You become one with the car and just learn more about the car.
try driving the z06 after owning the porsche for a couple of weeks.
once you get used to the porsche.... its really hard to drive something else. unless you upgrade by a lot.
The porsche is a very complete package.. its not the greatest in one aspect but it is so connected to you and feels very good that numbers cannot describe.
and also just the interior size of the car makes a big difference.. the corvette is quite big after you drive a cayman...the physical size of the car makes a big difference in and out.
The space that you have compared to the other cars and the road..
i own a 2006 boxster s

I've owned a CS, currently own an E90 M3, and have ridden in a C6 Z06 around a track. IMO:
Z06: most thrilling/visceral experience. May be too fast for public streets! Probably the most exciting on the track in experienced hands.
CS: best handling. Really makes you feel like the car is a part of you. Good balance between power and handling.
M3: fantastic combination of performance, luxury, comfort, and cargo/passenger space. Engine would be worthy of an exotic - makes wonderful noises and has all the power I could ask for on the street.
My rankings would prob. be as follows:
Street car: M3 > CS > Z06
Track car: Z06 > CS > M3
Best all-rounder: M3 if you need 4+ seating, CS if you don't
None of them would be a bad choice! I thoroughly enjoyed my CS, and am doing the same w/ my M3, w/ no regrets on the swap.
