Default FI vs NA for high mileage driver

for high mileage driver, how's the question of FI vs NA durability and cost of maintenance (cost of ownership)

seems like NA makes more sense for high mileage driver

(less parts = less part to wear out and maintain and less stress of the motor = part will last longer)

thoughts?

FI cars in mind are MS3, WRX, Sti, Evo, Mini S

NA cars in mind are Civic Si, RX8, IS250, Mini, Mazda3, Altima SE-R

I think the answer is "depends."

Redline, compression ratios, engineering prowess, driving style, # of hwy miles...

I would drive a regular WRX for 100k miles over an RX-8.

But if I was really worried about cost of ownership and couldn't afford repairs, I wouldn't get the "sporty" models.

A regular Civic would last hundreds of thousands of miles.

Heck, there are SC S2000s with over 100k miles on them. There's one that's near 200,000 miles, but he had some head work done.

Both of my current drivers are factory turbo's. One of them has almost 145,000 on it now. Both are diesel too.
