Gap insurance: Back in 99 when I bought a new GSR, the dealer wanted $600 for gap insurance. I called my insurance company and got it for $50 (from USAA).

The only thing I want from a dealer is the car. I'll pay the tax, title and license on my own (for some reason I always buy out of state). My insurance company which is also my bank usually handles everything extremely well. I test drive, choose, haggle and sign the papers. USAA does the rest.
