cool find. are all the people on that board exotic owners?
it's funny that they want a s2k as a daily driver and we want civics and fits. i figure DD means auto, good mph, dont need to care about the body.

I doubt these are ferrari owners. one drives 04 tiburon, and the guy posting the thread has a 20k limit. Ha Ha. He is thinking about getting the boxter, but can't step up for the S model. Okay!

No offense to the OP but does it really matter what a faux-Ferrari owner thinks about an s2000?
Does it really make you happy that an exotic owner thinks the same car yourdrive is nice? I bought my s2000 not giving a shit what other people think. In fact, my family, friends, and girlfriends all dislike my car.

if a real exotic owner thinks highly of a s2k, it does mean something. dude prob spent 200k+, a 20k s2k should be sewer trash.
i know that when i drove a f430 and said that the s2k was more fun, people prob just write it off as fanboi speak.

My only concern with the S2K is the lack of a glove box. I know that is a really minor thing, but I think it would also be very annoying not to have one.

I met a Socal member with several cars (one being a Ferrari) with a S2000. It happens. It's called "The Millionaire next door." Just because you are rich doesn't mean you HAVE to have an expensive car.

Just after I got my S I was living in a small rural village, anytype of special car was a rare sight there let alone an exotic. One nice summer night as I was driving home with the top down I noticed a very red car coming towards me, the driver had his lights on so it took a while before I got close enough to see it was a Ferrari 355. When the driver saw my S he casually put his hand out the window and gave me the universal sign of approval -
I have no problem saying that it made my day.

I bet a majority of those posters do not own a Ferrari.
case in point
I've been thinking, if my dad would let me, get an S2000. No one in my family drives stick, and I havent driven stick enough. How would an S2000 be. I found one for $18,_ _ _, and it also had 38,000 miles on it. How would it be for a 17/18 year old. Would insurance be killer? I wanted a new Jetta, but cost is a HUGE factor.
