Ferrari Owner Conduct-- Interesting, Would Be Nice If S2Kers Followed...
#11
Well, if owners of exotics held themselves to a higher standard, who am I to rain on their parade. Much like the 10 commandments, some are easy to follow, some demand some sacrifice, and some demand some self-control. Holding yourself to a higher code of conduct than other people is not a bad thing, IMHO. BTW, I am needy, and less fortunate, and my last dying wish is to drive a Ferrari 328 GTB.
Seriously, as silly as it sounds, if you own even a Mustang GT, people will come up to you after you park, and tell you they think your car is beautiful, and tell you how they wish they could have something like that in their life. You have to be some kind of ogre not to want to share at that point.
If you have the resources to maintain a Ferrari, you most likely have excess income. There is a concept called "noblesse oblige" that basically says being rich and fortunate is not your right, is it your obligation. The Queen is not Queen for her benefit, but to provide a better life for her subjects. Those who, historically, did not "oblige" typically died horribly, so make your own call

Good find
I adhere to most of those intrinsically: keep my car clean and well maintained, courteous to others, try to stay out of iffy situations on the road, drive the car as intended when safe to do so, enthusiastically speak about my car to others.
If everyone was at least courteous to others as opposed to driving like the road was theirs to drive however they wish, life would be better (and safer).

Nothing wrong with being a nicer person. Those are common courtesy guidelines that everyone should try to follow anyhow, Ferrari owner or not.
I like it.

Cool rules of conduct, and more power and respect to ya if you want to follow them. I personally only have one rule: "It's my car, and I'll care for it however I want."
