kit cars are coming of age....why drive a bloated, common C6 when you can drive this, and it weighs 600 POUNDS less?
a buddy and I are seriously considering getting one of these kits, does anyone have experience with them?

I'm not knocking the car, it's awesome in several ways, but it should be enjoyed for its own kit-car merits, and not considered as an alternative to a factory built C6.

It is a nice kit, and the performance is certainly there. That said, while it looks like an exotic car, it also looks plenty kit enough to seem pretty unrecognizable by the great unwashed. I don't know if it will ever happen, but until a kit car looks 95% like, say, an F430 or some other real-deal exotic, the cost will be hard to justify. I would consider something like this, but as others have said, a Corvette Z06 costs as much or less, and while it performs "worse", it also has all kinds of comforts this GTM does not. I can only see getting the GTM as a track car really.
