Montoya Masters Monaco

JUAN PABLO MONTOYA claimed his second F1 victory at Monaco today ahead of a hard charging Kimi Raikkonen. Michael Schumacher was third.

Under sunny skies, the most crowded F1 grid of the year cleared as glitz, glamour, and celebrity made way for the official stars of the weekend

Not one pass on the track in the entire race (except at the start)

It's a cool track... for a parade.

Monaco is easily the worst track in F1, and probably only remains on the circuit because of its history. Good run by JPM and Kimi.

Yep, time for the Monte Carlo GP to go the way of the Dodo. Let's have another date in the states!

And here's the latest US track - it will be FIM and FIA approved, which means it could host races for Formula 1, MotoGP and the like.

The coolest thing about this project (beyond the fact that, as far as I can tell, it's actually going to be built) is that you can see a significant portion of the track from the stands. (Unlike other tracks where you can see a single corner and that's it.)

Target completion date is spring '05.
