6th and 9th. Not bad, not great. It would have been a good result from last year. Let's hope it's a standard result for this year.

3. ALONSO Renault + 0'34"673

One thing of note is that Webber was 6th fastest in fastest lap honors. Beating out BAR, McLaren, Sauber, Toyota, Jordan, and Minardi. If the reliability gets sorted it out, the Jag could easily place 5th in the championship...

Great race. I wish Button were able to keep up with the top lap times and stay in fourth, but good to see some points. Let's hope that becomes the norm rather than the exception for BAR this year. And, great to see Honda doing much better so far than their (well funded) Japan rivals.

What's up with McLaren, though?

Yep - and the non-Ferrari teams have a chance to regroup.

Michael was pretty awesome - turning qualification-time laps for nearly the full race.

The F cars were incredible. Every year the other manufacturers try to play catch up to Ferrari. Yet, Ferrari continues to evolve their cars to get the leg up on them.

btw, the Lauch by Alonso was crazy.

6th is definitely not bad seeing who they're up against...The drivers at the top are the typical MS, RB, and JPM.

I recorded the race on my ReplayTV and watched the start a few times. The Renault "launch" was quite amazing. Everyone else looked like they were standing still, while those two cars pushed past. Renault is certainly a force to consider.
