500 hp just for the gas motor - the electric motors aren't included in that. I already mentioned that in earlier comments.

Ah I mustve missed that. Interesting... esp if they do stick that in a rwd cl.

Yeah battery power means torque at 0 RPM so yeah... anyway, what is the rumored HP with this car?
In all reality this car is going to weigh 3700 lbs with the AWD system, batteries, etc and without 500 + HP I just don't see it being very fast relative to the competition.

I hope you're wrong. I just can't see Honda releasing a car that small that will weigh that much. I'd bet $20 that it won't weigh more than 3,300 lbs. Any takers? :-)

Whatever the dealers will get for stock on the NSX, I imagine none will sit on the lot very long; the rest will be special orders. Will there be dealer pricing above MSRP? Probably. Some dealers will be a little hesitant to have any stock on this model. Floorplanning a car that is like 3 regular Acura's has to be justified. Will Acura make dealer invest in new diagnostic equipment for a low selling model? VW dealers still have a bad taste over prepping for Phaeton's when the profit did not equal their investment. Be interesting to see how Honda handles this. At least being made in the USA will give Honda bigger profit margins or more aggresive pricing compared to competition.

The rumours point to them focusing on power-to-weight ratio, not absolute max power, so that would lend some credence to the weight staying pretty low. The car is tiny - lower than the original NSX, shorter, but slightly wider - and that will help keep the weight down but I think 3400 lbs is more realistic, probably even closer to 3500. We'll see!
