Exclusive Concept Acura NSX Interior and exterior pictures

Hmm, Honda thinks we want one in a budget low powered, fwd two seat impractical hatchback but not a high power, exotic, thoroughbred sportscar hybrid.

By the way, the McLaren P1 is also a hybrid - just provided details today. 903 hp (combined) and 664 ft-lbs from a twin-turbo V8 and small electric motor. At the unveiling of the new McLaren F1 car, they showed the P1 backing up using electric power only (completely silent).

The whole car I'm sure will be stunning in person as all exotics are, but it hardly has the same impact the NSX did in 1990. It'll all come down to price. If it's going to go toe to toe with Ferraris and such, then yawn. If it's going against the GTR and porsches, then mmm nice. That interior is a bit boring, but I do like more understated interiors so I like it, buuuuut it's, hmm, familiar and bland for what it is.

Is it really supposed to come out without a manual trans option? If so its a complete fail. I could care less if the auto shifts faster. Lose half of the fun of driving imo.

They also have a roughly 400 hp 3.0L V6 revving to 9000 rpm that they've been fooling with. Apparently they're thinking of a base model and then a max-performance trim with boost.
THIS IS ONLY RUMOUR FROM INTERNAL HONDA SOURCES - Honda has not officially said anything as the powertrain is very much up in the air.

C'mon - that doesn't even make sense. There are no confirmed details except that it will include eSH-AWD.

You haven't driven it, the powertrain details are not yet finalized, weight is unknown, exterior design isn't remotely finalized, the interior is for the show car and is not finalized and yet.....you're dismissing it?

Under $100K? Not on your life. Maybe $120K but probably more. They're targeting the Ferrari 458 for performance so expect a price that's at least a moderate percentage of the Ferrari. $150K seems more probable to me.

My 100K price is based on what will fly out the door, could end up being a lot more, but the higher they price it, the tougher sell it will be. Acura has lost its luster on the high end market for several years.
What is the Nissan GTR sell for new? Honda should be within 15% of that price. How was the original NSX priced compared to 911 and Ferrari 348 when new?
What is the body of the new NSX made out of?
Honda is not going to take Ferrari customers away, but could lure buyers who are thinking 911, Vantage, XK, GTR, Evora, R8.
