Exclusive 911 Club Coupe for PCA

sounds like a deal to me. Granted, the car comes at a premium over the regular Carrera S, but it also comes with a healthy bump in power. Considering the cost of Porsche performance to start with, the extra $10-15K is pretty reasonable for what you get.

I wonder how many of us would be drooling if Honda made an S2KI special edition with a unique color and gave it a 10% increase in power (along with a 15% price premium)?

Eh I dunno, those cars are deep into the 12's. How do you figure they are underpowered?
I'm not going to dispute that the cars aren't quick, they are very quick. What pains me is that you need a 5 figure X51 package to bring the horsepower UP to 381. That's still 19 less than a $45k C6. At least, for OVER double my money, give me a car that at least equals the horsepower of the BASE Corvette.
The 911S X51 is quick because of it's underrated engine and it's very tight gearing and rear weight bias. That sucker will put the power down and go, but it's still rated 381 WITH the extra power package. That's pretty weak.

So keep in mind that it's not about HP but how you use the ones you got. Don't we argue this all the time with S2000's, and win? Ask yourself this, what is a better application, 20 HP to a mustang GT, or 20 HP to an S2000....
There are a lot of numbers, it's just the perception thats different....
