I see them as totally different cars and targeted to different type of buyers.
What other apples / oranges are out there?

If I had the cash for a 911 you can bet I would have one.

I'd have to drive the Evora to be sure, but if the Evora keeps most of the wonderful road feel of an Elise, but with more practicality then it is an Evora hands down.

If you want a 911, do it now. I just have horrible fears that VAG is going to screw things up one way or the other. I don't care if it's the same company behind Bugatti and Lamborghini, they're also the responsible for the one of the biggest loads of to ever come out of Germany, the Beetle with an Audi badge: the TT.
That being said, once I saw the Evora I was sold. I'd take the Lotus in a heartbeat.

Do you think the Evora will be hard to get in and out of like the Elise? It looks like there is a bit of a hump you need get over to get in the Evora like the Elise. This could be a con if its a daily driver.

You guys seem to forget that even a base 2005 911 with a manual tranny is a fantastic drive.
I remember the first time I drove one I was giggling all the time.

ain't no way I'm ponying up that kind of money for a Toyota Camry V6. Give me the car with the engine designed and built for it, with decades of history and synergy.

No doubt about it, the racing history, quality and purpose built engineering in the Carrera makes it a no brainer.
Frankly, I am shocked the poll is this close (60/40 Carrera).
