EQ is the only place I know of that does open source tuning for 400 dollars flat. If you aren't planning on swapping maps every other week, then EQ is the best out there. They also save your OEM base map and your tuned map so in case you need to flash it back to stock you could. Just bring a USB flash drive and they'll give everything to you.

Cobb also provides their AccessPort that allows changing between maps and is set up for different upgrades to the car. I've heard nothing but good things about them as an ECU program upgrade that is completely reversible at the push of a button.

Turbo timers are not necessary. I mean if I boosted the bejeesus into my parking spot, then I'd probably give it a moment before I shut it off, but otherwise it's not a necessity. I've done fine without for 4 years/67K miles.

350 very reliable hp at the wheels or at the crank? Crank hp is easy, but 350awhp is 400+ crank hp and you cannot expect the same longevity.

I would recommend RRE stealth turboback and a nice tune from RRE. They've been tuning DSMs for over 20 years I believe.

CAIs aren't really necessary until you are making a lot more power. Unless you want the sound, I'd save my $ for something else.
My best friend just got some work done at Road Race Engineering! After all he's done and his latest tune, he's pushing about 460 whp. They had a ton of Evo's there are the shop, plus there was a turbo S there as well! It was an AP1 and had the license plate S2KEMP2

vishnu...blast from the past

Jon @ HBspeed is spitting out Xs with nothing but turbo back exhaust and intake and tune at 330-350whp, his dyno is supposed to read like a typical dynojet

my X gained 50whp from stock just with a tune, it was logged with a road dyno tuning software since it was road tuned.

All you need is a Turboback (Quiet one like from RRE) that eliminates the cat, or one with a HFC and a tune. I dunno why all these people are suggesting 900 different parts.

If you don't want a louder exhaust you can get close to your mark with just a tune.

what are some drawbacks with the Vishnu package? After watching the vid and reading people post about it, sounded like a good bang for the buck.
