YOUCH.... that would be a bit porky if the Evo VIII does come in at 3300lbs!
What happened to the era of 2700lb cars???? (Old Subaru RS, S2000, Boxster, F40, RX7, etc....)

Can anyone say body flex? How about crash protection?
What I want to know is, why the rear doors. It isn't like there is really a back seat there, it is just a shelf for the front passengers, just like in my car. Remove that fake rear door on each side, and you would have me sold. The WRX has four doors, but I challenge any person with legs to sit behind a six foot driver. I was raised to believe that the rear doors were for rear passengers, which were allowed some leg room when a normal sized human was driving. What happened to that? Are the people who buy these cars actually expecting their friends to sit in the back? Not a very nice thing to do with your friends. At least buy an Accord, so we can fit inside.
Although, people always seemed willing to squeeze into my back seat. I don't get it.

I'm 6' tall and have many a time enjoyed the space - nay - luxury of the fabulous WRX rear seat behind a 6' driver... Ok, maybe that's an exageration, but it is a useful rear seat, even for full sized people. Between me and 2 friends who regularly travel together, I have an S2k, another an M Coupe, and the poor soul with the WRX is the only one with a back seat. "Shotgun" is, however, a favorite, and often violent game, however

I thought the EVO VI was about 2950lbs...... adding 350 is a hell of a lot! I guess the days of normal weight is gone.... all Audi's, BMW's are 3400lb+ pigs.
to me 2900lbs is "fun", 3300lbs is "bloated". Anyone think a new M3 is flickable and fun like our S2000's?
