EVO and STI handling hype?

EVO and STI handling hype?
hey whats up guys. i know this is kinda a flame thread but here goes. I, like everyone else, has done their research and seen countless reviews on the evo and stil go at it. I have driven several evo's and sti's also. i didnt drive them hard, but i was honestly not that impressed. I had just bought an s2000 and the car really blew me away on the handling capabilites. Long story short, how does a s2000,evo, and sti compare in the handling department? Is the evo just hyped up compared to the s2000? how do you guys feel on the handling aspect. just want to see if the s2000 can do better around a track then a evo or sti. with minimal mods of course.

Never been around a track in an s2000 or evo/sti. But the handling characteristics of any awd vehicle will be different from a rwd car such as the S. Awd gives the driver a false sense of confidence by seemingly defying physics by hugging the pavement around turns where as a rwd will swing the tail out when you go in too fast. When I test drove an EVO, the quickness of steering was on par with the S....it was ALOT lighter but that could have been because the steering wheel on the STI/EVO are larger than the S. Infact, the EVO was so easy to drive I was comfortably taking corners with one finger, to me that simply says its less involved of a vehicle. Test drive one yourself, it will be a nice comparison and set your mind at ease that you made the right choice

Well, to give you "kind of" an idea. STI's and Evo's are in A Stock for AutoX along with the s2k. The s2k is one of the top two cars to have in A stock.
The problem when you get out of a stock class however, is the fact that Evo's and Sti's respond to minor mods WAY better than the s2k.

i gotta clarify though, i'm not trying to flame anyone, i'm just stating that the evo and sti are real different from the s2000... thats all i'm trying to say. but to pitch in my .02, my buddy has an evo IX GSR or whatever the trim below the MR is called nowadays (it used to be gsr then it became gt i think??) and he let me drive it... its very fun... but i just like my s2000 better. so when i sold my first S, i actually had the choice of going with the evo, but i stuck with the S

lol, we just got moved to car talk from s2000 talk. i guess its coz this is discussing other cars.
i didnt know the evo/sti were responsive to handling mods. i thought they were very responsive to power mods. ie: getting an exhaust pipe for the evo that has a bigger diameter would give more power than giving an s2000 an exhaust that has a larger and n/a appropriate diameter
