Yay!!!! And it is in a car that still gets worse fuel economy and is slower in all measures of performance than the Z06 corvette which has 2x the cylinders and more than double the displacement! Yay for appealing to ricer idiots!
EPA numbers should be taken with a pinch of cayenne (that'll teach you).
i should post links to the threads on the vette forums where owners talk about going downhill, foot of the gas, and they see 50 MPG on their OBC.....YAY!
.....but i won't.
my S2000 gets better mileage than all the vette owners i know....who, oddly, do not care about gas mileage, and drive their cars the way they were meant to be driven....and get REALLY lousy gas mileage.

Plyrs3, when was the last time you got 28 MPG on the highway in the S2000? I never got more than 24. My C5 Z06 averaged 28 MPG from LA to Vegas and the same on the return, at 80 MPH cruise.
EPA numbers may be BS but the C5 beat the S2000 soundly on real highway mileage. Then again, around town I averaged 14 MPG but I have a heavy right foot!
