Default Ever wonder about typical maintenance cost of F355?

The car itself is $49,999. Not too bad for a Ferrari right?

BUT look here...when this yellow beauty gets sick....

That is $47,845.84 in repair WITH $8,160.62 DISCOUNT!!

I always admired the look of those cars. I will keep admiring them from afar.

#1, this is a repost - welcome to the internet.

#2, how is this example indicative of the typical maintenance costs of a Ferrari?

Showing a $45,000 repair bill is no way to entice someone into buying one.

So if they basically rebuilt the engine, i wonder how much just a brand new engine and install is? more than 47k?

You probably can't buy a new engine. I bet they discarded the castings. The boutique builders have a habit of doing that.

They probably don't do that anymore since they suce CNC made sand castings now.

Terrifying... Upon getting that quote I would probably just sell the car.

I wonder if you could find a third-party shop that could do the work instead of the dealer.

This isn't typical maintenance, this is repairs. Not saying 355 mainteannce is cheap or else I'd be tempted to buy one.
