Does anyone have an idea when this new civic will arrive at dealerships in canada??

Sorry I can't say about the arrival in Canada, but in the US (here on the East Coast (Baltimore/Washington area) the word is mid-late February. That said, as a devoted Honda fanatic, I think the new SI is a pretender. American Honda could have given us a barn burner but instead we got a kinder and gentler Si. It's got the lame K20A motor and weighs more than the RSX (Integra). UK and other parts of the world get the excellent K20C (200HP), but us US idiots get the base 160HP, low reving, mostly pathetic K20A Si. I trust our friends north of our border get the good Si. I think we're being punished down here!

Prelude

We'll get the whimpy 160hp K20A here as well. It is a detune version as to not infringe on the RSX market. I spoke to the saleman at a dealer last Friday and he said he is expecting them in late February, as usual it will be badge as SiR here in Canada. He also mentioned about the new Accord Coupe - they are testing it right now in the dessert. He said the people doing the testing called him up and told him it's going to be an awesome car and it's meant to be a replacement for the Prelude. I was there to do some quick trade in quote Prelude -> S2K

I would have considered the Civic R (even in Euro R spec instead of the JDM R spec) instead of the Si. The Si looks lame, only has a 5 speed, is missing lots of hp. Though the suspension tune is supposed to be closer to the Euro R but still softer than the JDM R.

Canadian Civic Si is the 130 hp version. Which was out when Civic got redesign last year.

Canadian Civic SiR is the 160 hp version. Which is coming out in Mid-Late Feb.

I heard from my dealer, it will be in Canada in mid-April.

Motor Trend says to expect the 200hp Civic within a year as well as the 220 hp RSX-R.
