I think they reviewed and portrayed the cars much more realistically. Top Gear was more entertainment vs 5th gear being more serious about the cars themselves.

I thought fifth gear was decent, tiff really made the show. i hope tiff gets to be on top gear like the old days. His driving is pretty amazing!

No doubt top gear is the better, more entertaining show, but 5th gear has its place as well. I will say this though, they tried way to hard to play catch up to top gear, they should've just kept it with tiff, becky, and that other dude who does most of the shoot outs and just leave it as a driver's show. I'll never understand how the other three guys got onto the show- they're not particularly entertaining, no real resume in regards to cars (correct me if I'm wrong), and can't drive better than me (which is saying a whole lot cuz I'm a total noob).
I agree - the show got off message. Its a shame because now thats one more car show off the air.

I really liked that show because they actually spent time talking about how the car feels like to drive.

Top Gear should hire Vicki and Tiff as correspondents.

Fifth Gear was the better "car" show. It told you more about the car. Top Gear was however was really funny much of the time and occasionally even really good in a drama/artistic/provoking fashion.

Shame about 5th Gear. I found it a much better 'car show' then Top Gear. These days Top Gear has very little to do with cars ... If I'm lucky, I find only 5 - 10min in each Top Gear episode that is of interested to me.

Without 5th Gear, not sure if there are any good car shows left :-(

Tiff, Vicki, and Jason were the only good things about Fifth Gear. The two main hosts were dolts; uninteresting, not funny, and generally not all that engaging.

Tom Ford (the chubby guy with long, curly hair) actually writes (or wrote, it's been a while) for Top Gear magazine while doing his host duties for Fifth Gear. Now, what his qualifications are and how he got either jobs, I have no idea.
