Default End of Fifth Gear?

Via Finalgear.com

Fifth Gear was canceled today — it will not be back according to The Daily Mail. While the show obviously wasn’t as entertaining to watch as Top Gear, it’s still a shame in my opinion.

yup, it was canceled over the weekend. Not really surprised by it, with the Top Gear's popularity growing more and more each season. To tell you the truth, with Jeremy Clarkson's new DVD coming out next month with guest stars Tiff and Vikky I wouldn't surprise to see them more on Top Gear

No doubt top gear is the better, more entertaining show, but 5th gear has its place as well. I will say this though, they tried way to hard to play catch up to top gear, they should've just kept it with tiff, becky, and that other dude who does most of the shoot outs and just leave it as a driver's show. I'll never understand how the other three guys got onto the show- they're not particularly entertaining, no real resume in regards to cars (correct me if I'm wrong), and can't drive better than me (which is saying a whole lot cuz I'm a total noob).

Tiff did do a good review of the S2000.

Shame because it's such a good show. There's room for two.

edit: Doesn't seem to be official just yet.

Also, from Johnny Smith's twitter: "Thanks to everyone for your compliments and words of encouragement. Remember, FG isn't OFFICIALLY finished. Don't (ever?) believe The Mail."

I'll miss Jonny Smith and Vicki Butler the most.

Always enjoyed Tiff's driving. Here's his review of the C6 Z06:

I found Fifth Gear way more entertaining before they tried to emulate Top Gear. It was a different type of car show back then, now it's nothing too unique.

Fifth Gear was the better "car" show. It told you more about the car. Top Gear was however was really funny much of the time and occasionally even really good in a drama/artistic/provoking fashion.
