Effects of different tire treads on same end?

The lesson here is probably that tires are not the place to skimp.

I don't know, I did a lot more testing today, about 70 mi or so and they felt very good, both front and rear. Running 34psi in rear and 31 in front. I'm impressed so far. Went around some tight turns and some highways with some nice switchbacks, including changing road services (blacktop-to-concrete-to-asphalt,etc.). Haven't tried them in the wet yet.

Took it out for a spirited drive this evening on some back country roads and I was quite impressed. The tires performed nicely, good balance in traction and handling between front & rear. They seemed to work well together.
