Edit: opinions on 08-11 accord v6 coupe VS 04-06 tl 6 spd
Hey all,
I need help from previous owners, I'm thinking of buying an 03 RSX-S. it has about 90K miles on it. What should I be concerned about?
What are your thoughts on the car as a sporty daily driver?
I'm in outside sales and would probably put 15-20k miles on per year.
I'm also open to hearing other daily suggestions around $6-10k thanks
Requirements:
Must be manual
Must be somewhat fun
Must be somewhat comfy

That rsx is a great car. The k20 engine is so rock solid reliable and the car is pretty nice as a daily with potential to be faster. For 10k though you might start looking for a civic si.

If you can afford the Civic Si, that's what I would go with. Having a Limited-Slip Differential just makes it THAT much better (which the RSX did not come with.)
That being said, I hear the newer facelifted RSX's (05 and up) drive noticeably better than the first generation.

If you could get a newer type s, with the facelift, and have a little but of money left I'd personally get it and buy lsd for it. I love the rsx and of course the k's are amazing motors. The civic does already have lsd but the rsx just looks sooooo much better IMO. But for 10k you can get a good condition ap1...

Well as far as the rsx vs civic it's just what you prefer, they both have the great k motors. You'll be happy dailying either, but I will say the civic si cloth seats are soooooooooo much comfier than the rsx leather seats. I don't care what anyone says, I have a friend who has an si and a friend with an rsx type s. comfort goes to the si

Ok good to know. I def couldn't use an s2k as a daily but that's just me.
I'm going to continue looking for a civic si
I think the best option for me would be a 2008+ accord coupe V6 manual. I'd prefer the sedan, but to my knowledge the V6 sedan doesn't offer a manual trans.

The coupe is a great choice, I had one as a daily once. Very affordable and rock solid reliable. The shifter is decent and it sounds great at wide open throttle. And the back seat is very accessible, not worthless like many other coupes.
I considered civic si at that time, but the accord Coupe v6 was so much more smooth and comfortable for a comparable price.
