I still give the nod to the E55, because its a simple chip and pulley away from outrunning the M5, and I personally prefer 500 ft lbs of torque at 1800 rm, to 380 ft lbs, at 6200, in a passenger car.

I like the E55, but I'd take the M5 any day over it. The M5 I'm guessing would also be a more adept track car than the E55.
I see the E55 as more of an interstate predator, an open road missile. The M5 surely provides more than just straight-line fun.

I've also heard the SMG3 is much improved and far more advanced than the SMG2 in the M3.
Launch Control puts the new M5 to 0-60 in 4.2 seconds, and the SMG3 in the new M5 has 7 speed. Make it easy to hit 200.
