OEM 19" wheels are forged vs OEM 18" which are cast... both weight pretty much the same.

I just got the chance to test drive an 02 SMG coupe with 591 miles on it (its the dealer's demonstrator). A guy who has an non SMG just got done driving it and liked the "auto" feature for traffic use.

(I am not in a position to afford a new M3, so I make do with the WRX until school is finished).

The M3 was really nice to drive. The SMG works beautifully and the drive logic is a nice touch...

That car's powerband was amazing too... power just about everywhere in the rev-band... Very quick for ~3500lbs and only 3.2 liters. I was MOST impressed with how strong it was between 2 and 3 thousand... Of course pull from 3000 onward was impressive too, but its amazing how strong the car is.

I am comparing the low end pull to a Acura CL type S when you figure both cars have similar weight and displacement. Of course the BMW has 6 speeds and its a manual. But the CL-S would never fly like that at 2500rpm...

loki... I'm envious of your toy
