Many of the dealers are charging additional money. I have been on the list for a while but had the option to buy a new Carbon Black (w/ SMG) in West Palm Beach for $64K including the $10K mark-up. As for the DVD Nav. that is 100% for sure since I altered mine to be an early 2003 rather than a late 2002.

You guys need to shop around some more. A $10K markup is absolutely ridiculous.
When I ordered mine, I got MRSP after a long negotiation process with two dealers and one cancelled order.
Stand firm and tell them what YOU want.

Some people can afford to pay 10k over (I, however am not one of them)
The local BMW dealer up here in Portland is selling at MSRP, but there is a waiting list...
a LONG one...
As for the new headlights, I believe those are only for the 02 SEDAN, while the 02 coupe keeps the same look as before...

Dude, $62K is way over priced... I sent my friend to Weatherford BMW in Emeryville, CA. Ask for Jerry and tell em' Everett sent ya. My friend bought a 2002 M3 convertible sans SMG II for $57K! Good luck bro...

for the most part, new M3's are no longer selling above MSRP even here in car crazy S. CA.
i have a very good friend who owns one (only about a month but bought for MSRP) and i have another friend who just ordered one from the dealership. the ordered one was special order (no SMG, no power seats, no nav system, no xenon lights) all he wanted was the moonroof, paint color, and leather/suede seats. dealer took the order (at msrp which was under $50K) and told him to expect delivery in the next 6-10 weeks.
i would humbly suggest that your bro. is paying way too much. maybe he's flush with cash and it doesn't matter to him (would that i had that problem) but if not, i'd say get on the net and look elsewhere.

I wouldn't pay a penny over MSRP....a loaded one s/b in the high 50's. Also, I'm not so sure about the 19's unless he just wants to look pimpin'. The ride will be even harsher, they'll likely be heavier, and the handling probably won't be as forgiving. The stock wheels look pretty bithcing, anyway.
