Dumb ass roommate
I let my roommate drive my car sometimes and one day he decides to "help" me out and put oil in my car. I didnt know about it until he called me saying something was wrong with my car. It turns out that he put 6 quarts of oil in a car that probably already had like 3 or 4 quarts in it and he also put some lucas oil treatment in there. When I tried to get my car to crank it sounded like a lawnmower had ran over a pipe or something and I've drained all the oil out and got another oil filter and the only thing it does it click when I try to start it but its not the battery because I got a new one.

try to start it again but have some hit the starter with something as you do. It defenitly sounds to be the starter from what you described. see if it starts by doing what I said. If it does then it;s the starter, if it doesn't then it's probably still the starter

reminds me of in high school when my friends sister tried to make sure she had enough oil. She did not know what a dipstick was (we told her she could see one in the mirror) and she kept pouring in quarts of oil until she could see it at the top of the crank case.
Her dad fixed it with opening drain plug and letting it sit that way for a couple days, refill, change plugs, and spray a little WD40 in the cylinders for a little extra oomph when starting.
If you get it to fire, be ready for it to sound and smell awful, and let it run a long time to burn out any unwanted oil or moisture.
