I am going to order an S5 in the next few weeks. The 5 line is sexy aint it?
Alex, you should SERIOUSLY consider the S5 if you can swing a little extra cake. The S5 is a bit more money, but comes with more stuff standard. If you stick all the extras into an A5, the price gap starts to radically shrink.
A loaded A5 will run with an MSRP of $47K. A base S5 (which comes with many optional A5 toys) runs for $51K (including the beefier motor, suspension, brakes, wheels, tires, etc). For 4K, you get a whole bunch more car. Trust me, think about it. I was gunning for the A5 as well, but the S5 was just too good to pass up. Gettin mine in Ibis white with red leather.

My order is sealed, and if I went S5 I'd be waiting till December (waiting list is deep). I definitely had that debate, but the A5 won out in the end. As fast as I go through cars, there could be a S5 around next summer

bjohnston - I'm super excited. I'm sure you are too. After Antarctica, Alaska and Svalbard are on the agenda.....then it is back to warmer vacations. You should take a look at Svalbard (off Norway) - it is like the Antarctica of the Arctic.

Sounds like you've got some better medicine for your car buying bug than I do 
I also just found out we have a Black S5 with the Silver/Black interior - no options and manual - that just went unspoken for - it should be here this week
