Drove the new 370Z....WOW!
I have to say.....I was VERY impressed. And I am not easy to impress. The interior was a 100% improvement over the 350...more spacious, well-laid-out, and much more airy. The 350z to me just looked cheap and plasticy, and the 370 is actually luxurious. One would almost think you are in an Infiniti. Almost
As far as driving goes....it is incredibly smooth, very very grippy, and has a good amount of power. It doesn't like to get upset, and it has character traits of the GT-R's handling in that mid-corner you can change your mind and the car doesn't give you attitude.
Now....to the feature you all want to hear about....the super-poser-synchro-throttle-blipping-doo-hickey.....as much as I was predisposed to hate that feature....it is definitely NOT poser, and it is AWESOME. Even though I have spent way too much of my life working on my heel-toe downshifting to be outdone by a computer....I still have to appreciate how incredibly cool it is.
It matches PERFECTLY. I have never even ridden with a pro race driver who could match this well. You just stomp on the brakes, downshift whenever you feel like it, and the computer measures braking speed, engine speed, etc. so the instant you let the clutch out the engine speed is exactly matched to the wheel speed. The only drawback is that it works so well, you get your braking done in a shorter distance, and thus go into the corner way slower than necessary.
I never even considered the 350z when buying my s2000.....but the 370z is a force to be reckoned with. It's not a GT-R, but it certainly is a good baby brother.

The car has some impressive specs as for design...I saw it in person at the LA autoshow and I was not impressed with the look/ design of the car. To each there own and all that jazz; but to me it looks like Nissan just got lazy and started chopping bits of the car off and added headlights that somehow have managed to be more more ugly than the 350z's.
