one of them looks like a no seat belt indicator. the other one kinda resembles a check engine light.

The check engine light is the scary one.

I also don't understand the light on the fuel gauge. It's reading almost full, yet...

Ahhhh...the joy of owning a prohibitively complex BMW. Lights come on at all the wrong times and turn off within .5 miles of any factory certified mechanic.

there is a test function for the instrument panel, that will send all the needles to the extreme right, and illuminates several of the lights (can be done while the car is @ a full stop)

imo that is what it appears to be
it's hard to make out in the pic, but if you look under the speedo @ the lights light it, they appear to be the lights that light up every time you start the car that indicate how long until an oil change is needed (could be wrong as it's so blurry, but thats what it looks like to me)

hence I'd be inclined to say fake- especially since a 325i is going to be very hard pressed to make it to 155+ mph
Only those BMW's with a 3.0 or larger engine are governed @ 155 mph.
the 2.5i's are traditionally much lower, I believe the e90 is somewhere are 130 mph...don't recall what the e36 is @...

could be wrong but that's my .02

I agree. You could have at least photoshopped out the idiot lights. That would have been easy.

No, there's about 8 more lights that light up the whole dashboard during the test

Ok... but you still haven't explained why those lights are on in the photo...
