it's just a matter of time until some aftermarket company if offering some sort of exhaust that includes new tips or a new bumper or something that doesn't have the fake tips on it...

Performance is a given, the looks though, well very subjective. Personally I think it looks like shite, the Toyboat should of actually designed the car instead of just altering the 350 some, to me the 350 looks much better overall. For me it needs the ability to get away in a hurry as it is a true eyesore, from the bulbous front end to the hideous faux stacked exhaust and the enormous heft. I will give it due credit though on its performance, way to go Toyboat.

One sweet ride, especially the interior. Only thing that would ultimately stop me from ever buying one is the headroom. With my sitting position set at the lowest height, my front top forehead is about 2 inches away from hitting the roof.

I, too, think the regular IS350 looks better. I stared at it at the dealership for nearly half hour trying to find appreciation for its look but couldn't. I thought it looks better in pictures than it does in person. It's overly styled and looks bottom heavy. I though an magazine article (R&T?) articulated it perfectly when it said it looked like candle with melted wax buildup at the bottom. I am sue the 5.0 is fast though.

Yea, I wasn't too pleased with the stacked quad exhaust... and honestly, I'm not a big fan of dummy exhaust tips, like the IS-F has.... (ie; having the exhaust piping end about 1" short of the fuax chrome tips)....
= cheesy + cheap!!!

If you debagged an IS-F and replaced that rear to look more like an IS350 that car would be a hell of a sleeper. Even as a former owner of an IS350, the rest of the body parts are hard to distinguish from any distance over an IS350 and the interior is the same. You could scare the crap out of all them 335 owners who were always trying to race me on the line in my IS350.
It kind of sucks. I just got a 10% raise and my wife got a 7% raise. This was enough that I could have bought an IS350 (or M3) with just the extra money coming in from the raises. But in the end, I think I did the right thing buying the Fit.

I didn't drive one...but while I test drove the IS250 (looking at a new daily driver - maybe), I saw 2 different sets of people take this one out on a test drive.
The IS-F is a beast!!
