[QUOTE=MDXLuvr,Nov 17 2006, 09:04 AM] I was looking at 944's and 944 T's a few months ago.

The 944 motor is plenty reliable until about 250K miles or so, after which it just needs a minor rebuild, and its as good as new. It really is a bulletproof engine.

The 944 is also known as the "world's best handling Porsche"
Loved....absolutely loved my 944. After My Conquest TSI was destroyed by a drunk driver (almost me too!) I got one. What a handler. put 30,000 miles on it in 5 months going from University of Delaware to UMASS for nookie runs.....good times!

Miss that car......

Water pumps and timing belts seemed to be the big expenses. Although I never had any problems except for a bad thermostat. Oh yea....and 2 trannys (abuse). Still one of my favorites!
