I mentioned that a Cayman with the GT3 motor and ceramic brakes would be the bomb. Price it around a Z06 (never going to happen, of course) and I would seriously consider one over a Z06.
BTW, Corey - IMHO the updated C6 is a much better choice than the Z06. Atleast the tickets wort hurt as much at 100 MPH vs. 125 MPH.
I didn't realize that so many Ex S2000 owners bought a C6. That in itself is a statement about Honda.

That would be an awesome car. Too bad Porsche would never sell one and it would cost way too much to mod one to those specs yourself.

I know I'll be happy with the LS3 Vette. If it was still LS2, I probably would have gone for the Z06, but my wife appreciates the fact that I left an extra $20k in the bank account instead of going for the Z06. Plus with bolt-on mods, it's not too far off a stock Z06 in the power department.
I agree that Honda has dropped the ball. There is no compelling NEW and STOCK Honda/Acura that lights the fire. I hate aftermarket blowers on NA motors, too many long-term reliability and tuning issues. Not to mention the warranty is out the door.
I loved the feel of my S2000. If they could do a 300-350hp, 2800lb roadster for $40-45k, I would have definitely considered it over another Vette.

I was looking at the Z06 on the Chevy site. It's over $72K and I think has less discounts than a Coupe so may be talking about $43K v $70K ($27K difference) makes the Coupe a great deal.
I would love if GM did a 60 or 72 month 0% for the vette.
I am not 1000% in love with everything about the Vette but no car is perfect. Also the next gen is getting pushed back to 2012 last I heard so it's no use waiting this gen out.

I think Kerbeck is selling new Z06s for $64K.
that's quite a discount on an already great value car to begin with.
