When did you get the C6? Do you still have that E36 M3?
I got it back in Sept. Where do I know you from?

[QUOTE=Chris S,Jan 27 2008, 06:00 PM] The C6, OTOH, wins on bang/buck, acceleration (by a fairly sizable margin, I have to admit), having a targa top (even better, the choice of solid &/or glass roofs), cheaper to mod if that's

Note that many of my preferences are subjective.

Also IMO I like winding out the car more (like a S2000) where you have to push it hard to get it going.
As fun as that is, it sure gets real old after 3.5 years. I'm ready for power. I dont mind winding the car up but the lack of power down low is killer. You better be in the right gear or else your in trouble. If Honda kept up with the car I wouldnt be having this conversation. I've yet to see the day a 400hp FI S2K can keep up with a 400hp Corvette. When that day comes you can sign me up.

My wife and I spent a week last month driving an 08 rental. We picked it up with only 1200 miles on the clock. I don't know what package it had but it did have the HUD. My wife now says she has to have one. It was amazingly easy to drive in heavy traffic and was less scary than expected in snow and ice. 430hp is sweet!

Well, ladies and gentlemen, I believe we have hit a new record. Nearly two pages of posts without one real slam on the Corvette.

It almost brings a tear to my eye.

I was at a nice mall here in DFW with Andi and there was a Cayman in the mall as a display car. I mentioned that a Cayman with the GT3 motor and ceramic brakes would be the bomb. Price it around a Z06 (never going to happen, of course) and I would seriously consider one over a Z06.

I doubt that... They want the 911 to be their quickest car. The Cayman obviously has the superior layout but is handicapped by the weaker engine.

Cayman doesn't have an LSD either, just another handicap.
