I have my yellow sparco gloves in my car the whole year long - in the summer, it's great insulation for the overheated shift knob. In the winter, for the frozen shift knob. In many situations, it helps reduce slippage caused by sweaty hands.

They are being reproduced by Griot's Garage. I have a pair and they are great.

For early morning and drives up in the mountains, I have a pair of Coach Leather driving gloves. Very soft leather that grips the steering wheel and shift knob very well. I'm not too sure what people think of when they see me driving with a pair of leather gloves on, but I like them.
