The Mazda 3 shares its platform with the Euro Focus, not the one sold in US. So no explanation on the pics?

We've had our Mazda 6s for over a year. It's been a great car. Good power, quiet interior, decent handling, and smooth ride.

Looks like that car was bombed, or set on fire. No crash could have done that to a car.

You apparently haven't seen that many vehicle crashes.

If any of your former engineering buddies worked for the Big-3, you'd be wary of their quality too.

Sheetmetal totelrance, sound absorption...you name it...the USA (with a couple of exceptions) is behind the Asians and Germans.

A fire is evident, and I don't believe that the occupants would have survived if they were in the car. It's sad to see these images...

Was thinking carbomb, but the damage 'seems' to be coming from the outside. There are some heavy steel support beams in the background, like you might expect in an overpass, so now I'm thinking roll and fall/flight off the overpass followed by more rolling.

So, if you are going to attempt a similar move, yeah don't buy the 6!

Lets not jump to conclusions......

Based on US government crash test requirements, it is pretty safe to say that if it was any other car in the above accident, the same result would occur.

I rented one for a week. It had decent pep, on OK interior, and looked better than a Taurus or Malibu (do people actually buy Chevy Malibus??). My only complaint is the uncomfortable seats. I just couldn't get comfortable. No lumbar support at all. Worse than my S2000. . . so that's not so good.
