i don't think he did that on purpose... no one intentionally drops their bike unless it's to avoid a crash with another object or vehicle.

this guy should consider himself EXTREMELY lucky!!

very good forum..

i think a minimum of a helmet and gloves would be a wise decision. i usually wore a bike jacket as well.

minimum to me is helmet, gloves, jacket and back protector (ive learned from two broken vertebrae spines)

Plus leather pants or jeans with Kevlar pads and boots. Footwear is often overlooked when riding and everyday shoes are not going to save your feet and ankles. I see a lot of idiots riding in shorts and sandals.......no shirt, no socks, no other protection. Apparently they aren't smart enough to realize that if they lay it down it is going to be their flesh getting scraped off and not their leather.
