Yeah well think about the variables, perfect for the incubation of rice.
Gas is expensive, very, very expensive.
Cars are expensive, insane taxation.
You have a lot of older cars, most of which were never fast in the first place.
The standard of living is such that even the uneducated idiot can find a job that affords enough money for a cheap car.
You have lots of little towns isolated from one another with limited interaction on a large scale, but lot's of Internet access.

S2000_Europe, I can not believe the quality of the workmanship is those cars you posted. Although I'm no fan of the style, the craftsman ship is beautiful.
