Does the EVO have a strong residual value?

Xpander,
Why have you not bought the Evo yet? You're still defending a car you don't even own. You think it's the greatest car on the planet, trade your S2000 in on one and start enjoying it, drifting around every street corner just under the boost threshhold...sheesh....

if it were that easy i would! I'm on a lease and buying the car out is not an option. I stand to lose way too much at this point, so i'm gonna have to pull some strings to get out of it withou taking a huge hit. Once this happens I will let you know though. I know this much though, i'm never leasing again.

Wreck the S2000, get insurance to pay the lease off and then buy your Evo. Simple as that.

I sat in an EVO at a local dealership and one thing I noticed was a big warning sticker on the driver's door that said something to the effect "Don't drive this car in the snow with these tires"

it really only snows about 5 days in a normal year around here..... last year was clearly not a normal year.... My Evo will be driven in the winter months, but I doubt it will drive it in the snow much.

I think Car and Driver didn't think the Evo was too bad on Gravel/dirt....can't imagine that being much less slick than snow. pretty slick driving experience...still not a looker, imo/

From the May 5th AutoWeek:
The standard 17-inch wheels sport Yokohama Advan performance tires, 235/45Rs, with sidewalls so short we needed the bifocals to read the tiny letters that told us they were dry weather-only rubber. They stick and stick and stick some more. But, as they don

Can't think of a Japanese car company that is any softer than Mitsubishi. Might be nice to drive new, but I'd bet it will depreciate just as fast as all the other losers in the line up
