I drive barefooted if I wear flip flops. I get a much feel for the pedals (particularly the vague throttle pedal in my BS) without shoes on. Easier to heel-and-toe as well. I don't see why it is illegal in some places. Operating the pedals with shoes on is like steering the wheel with mittens on. For that reason I always try to wear the thinnest shoes like Diesel.

I only drive with no shoes on if I am wearing sandles just because it is annoying with them on but other than that it is pretty uncomfortable to do.
yes! driving w/sandals is worse than driving w/o shoes. driving w/o shoes may require you to scoot your seat up and will probably take a few mins to get used to. but driving with thong sandals seriously sucks.

I guess I'm in the minority here. I live in FL and wear sandals 80% of the time. I always drive with them on. But I've never seen her wear high heels. She just prefers to be natural all the time.

Can't do it, I used to keep a pair of shoes in the trunk on the days I had to wear my shiny shoes, then just got used to driving with them on. I dunno, I use my toe area of my shoe a lot so driving barefoot would need me to adjust my foot a little higher.

Doesn't it hurt your feet? The S2000 has rubberized bumps on the pedals and they probably would dig into your feet.

I've tried it once or twice in other cars and didn't like it at all.
