Default Dodge Magnum R/t AWD

Hey guys recently I test drove a 05 magnum r/t and must say i was impressed by how smooth it drove. The one I am looking at is an r/t awd wit 61k miles, navi and sunroof. The dealer is asking 15k for it. I am thinking of trading my 02 wrx in for it. How are these cars in general. I have never had a dodge so i am not sure if they are reliable or not. I am not too sure about gas mileage but then again I don't drive too much either. Can these cars be had for cheaper?
Thanks for the help guys

I had an 05' as a previous company car. All in all, it was a solid car, and because it was a company car, I ripped the hell out of it for 50,000 miles - it held up exceptionally well!

From what I know, it's build on the previous gen E-Class platform, and it was a very solid vehicle. The only problem I had were in regards to the poorly placed and designed cruise control stock, and malfunctioning passenger window. Over my 2 year ownership span, the dealer had to replace 3 or 4 regulators.

Good luck!

Those cars will easily run to 100K, we have them in our fleet for company cars and they hold up very well (average 20-30K a year of mixed driving).

I remember when they first came out, I went to test drive the Magnum and 300C with the Hemi's and was very impressed. Very solid feeling and easily the best driving American badged sedans for every day use, along with the CTS-V.

I'm a little sad they killed off the Magnum. But I guess the low roof cut down on the actual utility of the wagon. Still a great look in my opinion.

-> As a wagon fan, I really do like the Magnum-series of wagons. The only turn-off for me was, it never featured a M/T and somehow I felt a bit claustrophobic inside.

-> The R/T AWD is a good buy if not the best, with its cylinder-deactivation Hemi engine and that warranty sound like a good deal. But I would research the car further.

I thought I was alone in this. I LOVE the magnums as well and dont know why they're killing them off.

A buddy of mine has the V6 and it handles MUCH MUCH MUCH bettter than a person that hasnt driven one would think.

I find them to be a oversized and overweight. But if size is what you need...

Personally, I'd MUCH rather have an '05 Legacy GT wagon with a 5-speed. Grown-up WRX! Much more sporting than the bricklike Magnum.

Have you driven them both ZDan? The Magnum is very decieving.
