the irony to all the "domestic" talk about the magnum and 300 is that the company may be american but the magnum and 300 are made in Brampton, Ontario which is in........CANADA!!!

The origin of the car doesn't matter to me either. I actually find it rather funny that some people are really pre-occupied with buying "domestic" even though it might be inferior.
The same can be said for those who refuse to buy domestic simply because it is not honda/toyota/mazda etc.
I see the car for what it is and I can see past the brand name or it's origins.
If I had a need for a bigger wagon style vehicle I'd consider the magnum. I currently drive a Toyota Echo hatchback. (very small car)

I called it 'domestic' because it's a Dodge, although I realize that may have nothing to do with country of manufacture, design, or management. 'Domestic' still implies some level of value not present in European brands. Considering the only other full-size wagons that come to mind are the BMW 540 wagon (do they still make that??) and the E-class Benz (do they still make that also??) the Magnum certainly represents a lot of value, true to the 'domestic' tag. The key to this is RWD and the V8 option - without either then this is just another pretty design, not unlike the Crossfire or Pacifica.
