Dodge Demon will switch front-wheel Drive
#21
Dunno why anybody thinking the car sucking more than necessary should be a GOOD thing. The more small, lightweight, fun, RWD cars on the market, the better as far as I'm concerned.
OTHER CARS BEING POS's DOESN'T MAKE YOUR CAR BETTER.

Now it is disappointing that it's now going to be rwd (coming from a mopar man) but on the other hand fwd will be alot easier for daily driving in snow and extreme rain conditions. If the demon comes out with a 15k price tag for a bare bones model and think it will sell great. If they keep it nimble with just enough
quickness it would def be a fun daily. Also remember how fast anything can be made with FI, hell just look at out cars and with the demon I'm pretty sure it to have some crazy torque when modded. Also we all know they will come out with some SRT edition in a year or so and basically it will be like the SRT-4 all over again expect in roadster form.
Does suck though that it will be made in China though. Not looking forward to that crash rating lol.

Can a really awsome front driver be made that is fun to drive be made? Yes. CRX's, ITR's and RSX's proved that.
Can we trust Dodge to make one? No. Not Really.
I thought it was kind of ugly in the first place.
I am willing to bet $5 it is scrapped before it ever gets to market. And bet $20 if it does it does not make it through 4 model years.

I thought they already had a cheap FWD convertible, the Sebring. Just looked at the Chrysler website but at $26k I wouldn't call it cheap, but it is a convertible hardtop. They make the $40k Crossfire too, does anybody buy those? I guess a sub $20k convertible fits into the portfolio where I thought the Sebring already was. With the Solstice at $23k and Miata $21k, I guess they have to use the Chery chassis to get the price down. If it isn't going to be rear drive it really isn't going to be a Demon, they should call it the Shadow Part Deux.

One-star crash rating, here we come!
A sign of pure desperation. It's going to be more of an engineering debacle than the Sky.

Man, this is so dumb, wasnt' this supposed to be an s2000 killer? Now, its not even a Miata killer? lol
Instead of scrapping the car, they make it FWD for CAFE standards? next time they pass national averages for mpg, they should take account for quantity of cars sold, otherwise carmakers can make these crappy cars just to boost their average.
