What are these guys thinking ?
"One of the reasons the rear-drive Demon concept would switch to a front-drive platform was emissions regulations, said LaSorda. He said that a direct-injection gasoline engine was in development for the car."
WTF? how hard could be to make a small 4 banger RWD rodster that passes emissions regulations???????

That's how I read it anyways. As to the emissions excuse LaSorda gave, that sounds like utter BS to me. But then again, which 4-banger is Dodge's most efficient? Do they have anything that will get over 32 mpg?

"Hey everybody! Come check out our new FWD Roadster!"
Uh....what?
No, I dont think so.
FWD and Roadster do not belong in the same sentance.
I like how they mention

However, price will be a selling factor, suggesting that the Demon would undercut its main competition, the Mazda MX-5 Miata and Pontiac Solstice/Opel Speedster.

They shouldn't even bother making it if it is going to be FWD. 75% of the market won't care what wheels drive the car, the other 25% will only buy it if it is RWD. A company in as bad a shape as Chrysler should be taking anything they can get now, and not alienating a quarter of a niche market.
