Actually...Dodge does have something they can turn into a roadster on the blocks--the Razor. God knows if they actually produce it and it'll be closer to the Miata/MR-Spyder class than the S2000/Boxster class...
Here's one pic:
Find the rest of them here - http://www.dodge.com/autoshow/gallery/phot...lery.html?razor
Preliminary specs:
Engine: 2.4-liter I-4 turbocharged w/intercooler
Estimated Power: 250 bhp. (187 kW)
Estimated Torque: 230 lb.-ft. (312 Nm)
Transmission: Six-speed manual transmission
Drive: Rear-wheel drive
0-60 mph. (0-96 km/h): 6 sec.
Top Speed: 140 mph. (225 km/h)
Target Price: $14,500 (But for the coupe...turning it topless seems like a no-brainer though )
But! At current size, it would be smaller than everything on the road short of a Mini Cooper...talk about a coffin on wheels
Anyway, the car that interests me more is Pontiac's Solstice...
