There is a new biker cop that use to work as a stunt rider and sales associate at RMC. Marty... don't run from that guy
I've out-run police a couple times... never been caught, but they were bone head moves everytime, I also crashed my 2003 R6, haven't had a bike since.

I see police bike cops but I'm sure those things aren't as fast as reg bikes.

Depends on the situation. I have seen motorcycles not be able to outrun a crown vic or caprice because they stay on an open highway and make it a top end race and not use the acceleration advantage of the bike. Even though some bikes can do 180+ most bikes are geared for 150 or less and besides it gets pretty darn scary running those speeds on a motorcycle on a public road with traffic. I do not recommend running at all but hypothetically the best way to pull away is to head for the twisties where you can accelerate out of the turns faster than the car and pull an advantage.
And before I get flamed for anything, I have done both (ride bikes and drive police cars) so I know what I am talking about and I am impartial.
