No, I haven't seen it in person, but in this video it looks like an SL to me. Likewise, many haven't seen the LFA in person, yet they declared it looked like a $80K car from videos.

In person it looks very different from an SL. I actually like the proportions more on the regular SL, but the SLR definitely has a dramatic presence (in my view of course).
Btw, I believe the regular SL is more like a $100K car than a $90K car.

Isnt this what Madonna drives? I could just never picture her actually using the car like that!!
If I owned that car, the cops would then have a legit reason to pull me over every 5 feet.

In person, this car is nothing short of spectacular. When you're around one and the engine fires up, you actually believe it's worth four times as much as an SL. Even if rationally you know it doesn't. It's that amazing.
