I only see a hint of the RX8 in the rear quarters, otherwise you can tell that the front grill was influenced by Subaru's new (and ex-Alfa Romeo) head designer... I guess if they wanted to have a grill that harks back to Subaru's airplane heritage, this would do. Heck, even Audi's Nuvolari is growing on me, maybe I'm wierd.
Personally I like the front end along with the rest of the car's lines... can't say as much for the interior tho.

Aside from how the doors open, I see little to no resemblence to an RX-8. The front looks like an upside-down Alfa Romeo with lights from a 350Z.
If Subaru fixes the front, they'll have a winner.
