Design your dream car.

I am going to buck the trend to build a sports car and go for:
Low slung 4 door, 4 seat sedan, possibly with a hatch
Can seat 4 adults comfortably on long trips
AWD
Interior that would rival the A8
Ceramic brakes from Porsche
Wheels from Lamborghini
Chassis tuned by the folks that did the GT-R (I continue to be amazed at how they made such a heavy car handle so well)
DSG transmission
Body by Pininfarina
Twin-turbo V-8 engine
Bulletproof reliability
Is that so much to ask?

I want a convertible.
Soft top to keep weight down.
inline 4. 2 liter or so.
maybe 9000rpm or there about.
237 HP should be about adequate.
front engine, RWD.
2 seats. 2 doors.
it has to be reliable - so Honda would be ideal.

Mid-engined
2500 lbs or less
400 hp
Small V8
Two doors
RWD
I don't need an absolute rocket. I just want decent power with low weight so that the car is very nimble. Fast turn-in, quick steering and not too much rubber on the road sounds good to me. Basically, take an Elise, flesh out the interior a bit, put some grunt under the body and let me at it.

RWD, manual trans, LSD, ~3200 lbs., 7,000+ rpm flat plane V8, decent stereo and reasonably quiet with the windows up and a light throttle. Tall top gear for highway travel, compliant suspension with minimal body roll but doesn't hammer you on small bumps. Good enough economy where putting gas in isn't a 3X/week affair. Decently wide tires (but no 20" heavy-ass dub wheels) non-staggered, a mild tendency to oversteer but very predictable. 2+2 coupe, back seat is minimal but actually serviceable by an adult on the passenger side, like the old Audi GT's with bolstered rear seats. Good-sized trunk or hatchback. Looks fast, sleek, and capable, but spartan interior with no shiny stuff and the brights indicator dims with the dash lights. Never needs more than tires, brakes, and oil changes.

I just saw on "Motorweek" on PBs that BMW has a motorcycle straight six only 22 inches long.
Build me a replica of a 1930's Squire around that using NA Miata suspension F/R. I'd probably grin myself to death driving it.
